Providing essential items and resources to unhoused neighbors What is it?
NBK essentials provides essential items, a weekly meal, and other resources for our unhoused neighbors under the BQE and elsewhere. We collect winter clothing and other resources to distribute directly to houseless neighbors, and through local shelters and other organizations. Our volunteers operate a resource distribution channel that fulfills requests for small, essential items such as flashlights, batteries, metro cards, over-the-counter medication, clothing, PPE, and more. We also take requests for larger or more expensive items including tents, sleeping bags, small electronics such as phones and chargers, and travel.
